Happy New Year and weather

Happy New Year to all.

FOR PARENTS AND VISITORS

Sometimes it is necessary for school to close because of bad weather or other emergencies.

The Headteacher works hard to keep school open wherever possible but if circumstances mean that she has to make a decision to close the school or send children home early, there are various ways of contacting parents.

How we tell you if a school is closed?
Local radio stations play an important part in communications between school and parents. Once the Headteacher has made the decision to close school she will inform the local radio stations and ask them to broadcast a message to parents.

The local radio stations used are:

BBC RADIO LEEDS – 92.4 FM

RADIO AIRE – 96.3 FM

It is also possible to look on:

The RADIO AIRE website and its list of school closures: www.radioaire.co.uk

The Leeds City Council website: www.leeds.gov.uk

TIP: The Education Leeds website usually crashes due to being overloaded, so don’t rely on it! www.educationleeds.co.uk
