After School Clubs
We believe that clubs help children to discover or develop new interests and talents. They can also ensure that children are happy, healthy, safe and achieving. They can have a very positive impact on pupil attainment and exclusion rates, as well as enhancing self-confidence, improving relationships, raising aspirations and leading to better attitudes to learning.
At Parklands Primary School we aim to open children’s eyes to new opportunities and experiences beyond the immediate and to help them to see them in new and enriching ways.
Our current weekly menu of clubs is:
| Monday | Guitar 3.15 – 4.00pm |
| Tuesday | Dance 3.15 – 4.00pm Music Passport 3.30 – 5.00pm Drumming Project 4.45 – 6.15pm |
| Wednesday | French 3.15pm – 4.00pm |
| Thursday | Cricket/Football 3.15 -4.00pm Drama 3.30 – 5.00pm Cooking 3.00 – 4.30pm |
Children who wish to join a club will get a joining letter. Parents must sign the letter and let us know the arrangements for getting home at the end of the club. We also need to have current contact telephone numbers should we need to telephone you if there is a change of plan. Please help us with this, as it is so important for all children to be safe during and after clubs.
We are currently updating our clubs and will be shortly telling you about some new and very exciting clubs. Some of these will be run through The Children’s University and the Find Your Talent Programme.
